Da T.R.U.T.H.’s Mixed Bag Ent. Completes Deal With E One
(Huntsville, Alabama – December 2013) — Christian hip hop artist Emanuel “Da T.R.U.T.H” Lambert has cofounded a new entertainment company, Mixed Bag Entertainment, with producer Mark Mims and corporate risk mitigator Gary Crockett. The new entertainment company will release films, television shows and music under the Mixed Bag Music Label.
The company also announces that it has inked a long-term deal with Entertainment One Distribution (eOne), who will provide both digital and physical distribution, marketing and promotion for Mixed Bag’s talented emerging artists and established performers across genres of music and film.
eOne is the largest physical and digital independent music and video distributor in North America. Holding the highest market share of any independent in the U.S., the company distributes artists Joe Budden, James Fortune, Erica Campbell, Ronald Isley, among many others. The company manages physical and digital distribution of CD, Blu-ray and DVD inventories, and is the leading internet fulfillment wholesaler of home entertainment products through partnerships with the world’s largest on-line retailers.
Da T.R.U.T.H., recipient of 2 Grammy nominations, 4 Dove nominations, and 4 Stellar Awards, states, “After 6 solo albums, 17 years in the music ministry and 9 in the music industry, I’m ready to do something different by applying all of my experience in music and the music business to this company. Mixed Bag will focus on Christian artists that are musically diverse and creatively edgy, and that don’t necessarily fit into the traditional formats. We believe that this is the next generation in Christian music, the voices of today and tomorrow. Mixed Bag is not just a company, it is a family. We are humbled, yet excited, to continue to make an impact for something greater than ourselves.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Da T.R.U.T.H in this new company. He is a one of a kind artist and musician who brings his unique insight to Christian hip hop and music in general. We look forward to welcoming the new talent we will bring to the roster,” adds Mark Mims.
Gary Crockett continues, “Hip hop music is here to stay and so is urban Christian music and related video content (films and TV). Our team of artists, strategists and young executives will innovatively change the current music and film business models.”
Jim Cuomo, EVP/GM of Entertainment One Distribution states, “We share and applaud Emanuel and Gary’s vision and are thrilled and excited to be able to contribute to building something special together. We will look forward to applying the resources of Entertainment One Distribution to assure Mixed Bag Entertainment it is treated with the care and dedication it deserves.”
