Hello loves! As Valentine’s Day approaches this week love is definitely in the air, but what’s in your closet? Are you having girls night out? A romantic evening dinner? Double date with your parents? Afternoon lunch and a movie? Making a first impression? Whatever your plans are this Valentine’s Day here are some helpful suggestions to help you look fabulous!

  • Girls Night – No one said you have to be in a relationship to enjoy Valentine’s Day, round up the ladies and have some fun! One thing every woman knows there are certain outfits only your girlfriends will appreciate. Mix prints and patterns, pull out those leather overalls collecting dust, or finally wear that zebra faux fur. For instance, headed to karaoke night? Try a pair of sequin tights, denim button up, & leopard pumps. Add a black moto jacket for edge.
  • Dinner after 5 – Whether it’s an evening at the opera or a romantic dinner formal dates are the perfect excuse to go to the “back of the closet”. While you can never go wrong with basic black, try winter white this holiday for unexpected glamour. A “LWD” (little white dress) should be in every woman’s closet. Or try a cropped turtleneck with a high waisted skirt. Acessorize with a pop of red on your nails & lips, or try a ruby necklace to keep Valentine staples.
  • First Impression – Are you finally meeting your boyfriend’s parents? Having your first date with someone? First impressions are all about being yourself! Most first dates are casual in nature, and for good reason. Going bowling  or to the movies? Wear the jeans that best compliment your shape, an off shoulder sweater, and shoes you can be comfy in all day. They dont’ have to be flats or sneakers, but they should actually be wearable. To meet the parents try a velvet skater dress & booties, or a silk floral scarf to accent a white oxford shirt & skinnies.  DC
