Without Believing We Are Nothing

In my daily conversations I sometimes come in contact with someone that tells me there is too much work to being a Christian. I would always ask, “how is that?” I’m quickly hit with this response, “too many rules to follow.”

I’m always reminded of how I felt at the lowest point of my life. I believed at the time there would be too much work involved to being a Christian and most importantly to be well pleasing to God.

I gave up. Threw in the towel. Instead of opening His word and understanding that through Christ we are redeemed of our sins and God shall remember my sins no more (Hebrews 8:12), I focused on condemning myself.

I didn’t know what to do.

When I made that decision to accept Christ as my savior, I was worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up my end of the bargain.

Finally, after worrying enough I heard a familiar voice tell me slowly, “All I need to do is believe. Just believe.”

So whatever you are experiencing this morning that is staring at you, bothering your emotions, or have you at a depressed state, just remember to just believe.

Beloved, just believe. Believe that what God had promised He is able to perform.

Believe you are more than a conqueror through Christ.

Believe this a new day and all will be well in Jesus’ name.

Just believe!
