God Wants You To Be Content

The apostle Paul knew what it felt like to go through a phase in his life of being content. It wasn’t easy for the man of God to endure those moments, but as he stated in the scripture, he learned to be content through the strength of Christ.

Have you been spoiled by the offerings of this world? Wanting the designer dresses and obsessing over having a better or bigger car than your friends or neighbors?

We are all guilty one time or another for feeling this way. But what Paul learned and what many of us have experienced, that the things we lose in our lives is not an act of punishment, but it is for us to lean on the strength of Christ to be content.

When we meditate on the Word of God, we reprogram our minds. When we meditate on God’s goodness, we are developing a right mindset. When we choose to be grateful and focus on being content we are choosing a positive attitude.

This doesn’t happen automatically, you have to discipline yourself to focus on the things we have, not what others have.

You have to make a conscious effort to spend time in the Word of God every single day until a habit is formed.
