Songs you can listen to for comfort in your cry for justice

comfort4justice2

In times of senseless injustice, it can be very difficult to form the words necessary to describe the pain and confusion many of us feel. It is hard not to become hopeless and even harder to find solutions where innocent men like Alton Sterling and Philando Castile – within days of one another – are publicly and shamelessly slaughtered at the hands of law enforcement. Where can we find safety when those who are assigned to protect us harm us instead? Where can we find solace in our distress? Where can we look for hope and protection? When trusted men fail over and over again, God you are our only hope!

In addition to the playlist above, here are some Biblical Promises of comfort. May we find peace in His Word.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident thatas you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.
