Miz Tiffany ‘First-ever’ Solo Female Rap Artist to receive a Stellar Gospel Award Nomination

On January 15, Stellar Gospel Awards announced Miz Tiffany as the first ever solo female rapper to be nominated for Rap/Hip Hop Gospel CD of the Year and the accolade is certainly well-deserved. Not only could Miz Tiffany potentially be recognized as the first for her self-written hit, “I Ain’t Preachin to the Choir” but for also performing alongside Emcee N.I.C.E., and Jor’Dan Armstrong in the Hip Hop Cypher LIVE at the 34thStellar Awards Gospel Radio Awards & Showcase, March 29that 10:00 AM in Las Vegas, NV during Stellar Weekend.

If the debut album “I Ain’t Preachin’ to the Choir” wins, Miz Tiffany will surely reach a historic milestone in this Women’s History month as the only female hip hop artist to be awarded in the organization’s history. The triple threat artist is Mississippi’s first multi-award-winning Christian Hip Hop Artist. Her trendsetting work has broken traditions within the four walls of the church as well as introduced a unique multi-cultural and ethnic style of music and ministry to urban and hip-hop communities. Her artistry and nominated CD “I Ain’t Preaching to the Choir”was Grammy-considered in four categories for the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Miz Tiffany has received over twenty-five awards across the United States for her work in music, acting, modeling, and motivational speaking. She made history as the first female gospel rapper to perform on Dr. Bobby Jones Presents television showcase; and was awarded and honored during Jackson Music Awards 40th Annual Mississippi Gospel Music awards as “Mississippi Spotlight Artist of the Year” and a “Woman in Gospel, Making Things Happen.”She has shared the stage with renowned gospel artists including Erica Campbell, Canton Jones, Jekalyn Carr, Uncle Reece, Paul Porter, JJ Hairston, The Canton Spirituals, Lee Williams & The Spiritual QC’s, Evelyn Turrentine Agee, and Keith Wonderboy Johnson among many others.

Her acting career began in 2010 and has landed Miz Tiffany in featured roles on both cable and network television. She played a farmer on Oprah Winfrey’s Queen Sugar and earned a core featured role on Fox’s Empire as Shine’s children’s mother. Determined to stay on the move, Tiffany’s greatest hope is to inspire, empower, educate, encourage and reach people where they are.
