Rising Duo Jerard & Jovaun Sign to Motown Gospel!

Premiere music label Motown Gospel announces its newest artist signee—husband and wife duo Jerard & Jovaun. The powerhouse singers bring their online popularity to a new digital EP, WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME, available today for pre-order.
Currently worship leaders at the multi-cultural Bethesda Church (Ft. Worth, TX), Jerard & Jovaun first made names for themselves as go-to background and session singers for over two decades, working with industry heavyweights like BeBe and CeCe Winans, Natalie Grant, Donnie McClurkin, Michael W. Smith and Yolanda Adams. Most recently, Jerard & Jovaun have steadily built an online following with their stand-out performance videos of worship songs and hymns. Their cover of “What A Beautiful Name,” has become a viral sensation garnering over 1.66 million views.
“For years, Jerard and Jovaun Woods have enhanced the albums and performances of many of the biggest artists in gospel music,” says Monica Coates, Co-Executive Director and head of A&R at Motown Gospel. “It is an honor to partner with them as they step into the spotlight together. Their freshness and energy are a welcome addition to the current landscape of gospel music.”
In keeping with their signature style, Jerard & Jovaun’s debut EP WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME offers renditions of songs from their video series including the EP’s title track, Hillsong’s hit worship song “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” and popular anthem “Great Are You Lord.” Fans will be able to instantly download two versions of “What A Beautiful Name,” when pre-ordered now.
Join Jerard & Jovaun today at 4/3pm CST when they go live on Instagram @MotownGospel for a special announcement.
The 5-track WHAT A BEAUTIFUL NAME EP will be available on all digital platforms on Friday, March 15.
