Evening:Morning- The Digital Age

Something about the title of The Digital Age’s latest record, Evening :Morning caught my attention. So, naturally I had to check out what they had to offer. It was my first time hearing an entire project from the reconstructed band; comprised of four former members of The David Crowder Band. This dynamic project falls under the umbrella of alternative rock and fits well in any Christian Contemporary library.

I immediately enjoyed the up tempo rhythm of “Captured” it had familiar vibe that made me feel right at home. The drive that powers “Symphony of Grace” is infectiously uplifting. “All the Poor and Powerless” has a mellow tone that worked its way into my heart. I fell deeply in love with the essence of that particular cut. I appreciate the lyric to “Overcome”. I like their rendition of “Break Every Chain”. There are so many decent songs on Evening:Morning; I could list them all but I would rather you check this album out for yourself.

I was not sure what to expect when I decided to listen to this project. I could have compared it to the musical history of their previous band. But, I wanted to give The Digital Age their shot. I am somewhat glad I did. Honestly, I could have stood a little more diversity from the overall project. However it was a good record. Would I recommend purchasing this CD?…. Not number one on my list but, it would make it somewhere on there.
